What goes into every bottle of Nicorinse? A lot of thinking about the needs of tobacco users, and a lot of care. While we were developing the Nicorinse formula with Dr William Farone, it was extremely important to us that we develop a product full of natural ingredients, no alcohol, no aspartame or sugar, no medicines, and absolutely no nicotine. We wanted to create something new and better than what was on the store shelves.

What we achieved through a rigorous research and development method was a formula made from ingredients that naturally occur in the body. Nicorinse could be effective using naturally occurring ingredients without any negative side effects – a product formulated to benefit you and your overall health that hadn’t existed before. The difference between Nicorinse and, say, Scope, are night and day.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s inside Nicorinse:

Glycerin
Glycerin is a natural food substance; it’s also an excellent humectant (moisturizer) which is why it’s included in Nicorinse. Tobacco use has a drying effect on the mouth - one of the formula’s focuses is keeping the mouth well moisturized and conditioned. While glycerin has a naturally sweet taste, it does not increase blood sugar when swallowed.

Citric Acid
A side effect of smoking, particularly over an extended period of time, is an altered taste or a decrease in perceived taste. Nicorinse uses citric acid to support the efficacy of the other functional ingredients and to provide a zesty yet mild flavour.

Polysorbate 80
Made from natural sorbitol and plant-based oleic acid, polysorbate 80 is used as an emulsifier or defoamer in food, vitamins, medicines, and vaccines; it can also be used as a surfactant (a compound that lowers the surface tension between two liquids or between a liquid and a solid, acting as detergents, wetting agents, emulsifiers, foaming agents, and dispersants) and a solubilizer (an ingredient that improves solubility of another ingredient). In Nicorinse, Polysorbate 80 is used as a surfactant to assist in expelling toxins when Nicorinse is spat out; as a solubilizer, it helps dissolve ingredients so they can mix together more easily.

Aroma
Did you know that your sense of smell is more sensitive than your sense of taste? Nicorinse’s smell was created to encourage longer, consistent use.

Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate
Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate is a surfactant used as a detergent, skin conditioning agent and emulsifier. Nicorinse is designed to ‘wash the mouth’ and clean away harmful tars and residues, just like good soap would wash more dirt and bacteria from your hands. It also provides mild antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.

Sodium Carbonate Peroxide
This was included as an agent to assist with teeth whitening; while Nicorinse is not a teeth whitening product first and foremost, it is designed to whiten gradually and help stop further staining. Good news for smokers and people who love a daily cup of java or indulging in a glass of Merlot.

Sodium Benzoate
Sodium benzoate is Nicorinse’s preservative, keeping the product shelf stable and ready for you to use.

Tetrasodium EDTA
This is used to help bind and activate metal ions; this binding action helps prevent the deterioration of cosmetics and personal care products, maintains clarity, protect fragrance components, and prevent rancidity. In our formula, it’s also used to allow a better cleaning performance.

Brassica Campestris Seed Oil
Brassica Campestris Seed Oil is the oil expressed from the seeds of canola. This humectant is included in the Nicorinse formula because of its excellent emollient (moisturiser) and conditioning properties.

That’s it. All natural and all good for you, even if you swallow it. Nicorinse assists in ridding your body of the toxins absorbed and ingested while smoking. This benefit is also the benefit that provides tobacco users with a bridge to quitting. By reducing the amount of nicotine in the body, you’ll lessen the addictive pull and make quitting easier. Try it and see what you think for yourself.

The beauty of Nicorinse is that you don’t even need to smoke to use it. It was made for the worst mouth environments there are, so it is good for all mouths and anyone who wants to experience a cleaner mouth. While we developed the formula to reduce the harms of smoking, its cleansing and moisturizing properties make it an excellent choice for everyone.
